A One-Day Full Retreat in West Sussex

The Autumn Equinox Retreat holds space for you to shift from the busyness of summer to inner stillness. It marks the turning of the wheel of the Year, a time when nature begins to draw her energy beneath the surface, inviting us to do the same. To listen harder, nourish more and turn more inward. This retreat is an invitation to pause, slow down and step away from the noise of the world and return to the quiet wisdom within you. We begin the phase of ‘‘Inner harvesting'“ reconnecting to yourself, shedding all that has stripped you from your power and worth and allowing you the space to reflect, release and prepare you for a darker and more inward phase of the seasons.

Our Retreat Food

I’m so thrilled to be hosting food from YouJuice. Anita herself is an inspiration and creates the most nourishing, wholesome food. Anita will be preparing us a mouthwatering lunch, delicious snack and juice to feed your body and soul. Using every possible drop of goodness from plants, fruits and nuts, ensuring you get all of the nutrients that nature intended.

A Peak Into Your Day

This day retreat invites you to deeply connect to yourself, let go of stress and release tension through different embodied and yogic practices and step into your power and love yourself exactly as you are. This day is for ALL levels of experience and I will offer modifications throughout the day in each practice. Whether you're completely new to Yoga or have been practicing for a while, this day is perfect for you.

  • 09:00 am - Arrival & Welcome Circle We come together and meet your fellow participants. Opening the day with a breathwork practice to centre and ground, setting the tone for a nourishing and loving retreat experience.

    09:30 am -Vinyasa practice
    We move through an embodied flow, connecting to the elements air and space. A slower more rhythmic practice which focuses on rooting down, creating a steady and stable foundation and balance within the body. We release and shed tension physically and mentally.

    10:30 am - Breathwork and meditation practice
    A deeply grounding practice to reconnect to all your senses, physical self and mental space.

    11:00  am – Journaling & reflection Take a moment to reflect and celebrate yourself. Get clear about your intentions for the next phase of the darker and slower seasons and get clear about what you need to let go of as you transition into the new season of autumn.

    11:15am - Fire ceremony
    We gather outdoors and burn our intentions. Letting go of what no longer serves us to create space for new energy and opportunities.

    11:30 am - Morning snack and refreshments
    Enjoy a light and nourishing bite and herbal tea

    12:00 pm - Nature walk to the South Downs and movement meditation
    Take a walk through the stunning South Downs. We’ll take a pause at a summit for a gentle movement meditation. Breathe in the fresh air and soak up the stunning views. Taking a moment to pause and be fully present with yourself and in nature.
    ( Our walk is suitable for all levels of walkers. There will involve hills, muddy and uneven terrain in wet conditions and potentially crossing a main road).

    13:30 - Wholesome Plant based Lunch Enjoy a deliciously prepared lunch by Anita from YouJuice. Sit and connect with others and soak in the views as we dine together.

    14:30 - Grounding restorative flow and sound meditation
    Explore a deeply grounding practice with somatic movement, gentle stretching and restorative practices. Be led through a deeply grounding body scan meditation and sound experience to soothe your nervous system and release any remaining tension.

    15:30 - Closing Circle
    We sit in circle to reflect and integrate the day’s experiences, and close with a heart-centered gratitude practice.

    16:00 - Goodbyes
    Depart feeling grounded, inspired and relaxed, carrying your intentions and practices into your daily life.

    Our retreat sanctuary is based in Upper Beedling, BN5 9XH - with private parking on site, and local train connections to Worthing, Lancing and Brighton.
